That’s why I created The Conscious Cabin, an experience that I myself had been looking for. There was a season of my life when my calendar was always full, my to-do list never ended, and even my days off felt like a whole lot of noise.
I was a creative director working in Boston, commuting by train and foot, managing a team, juggling deadlines, carrying the weight of the world and trying to keep my cool amidst back-to-back meetings. Everything from the outside looked alive and well, but inside I felt stretched thin, disconnected and tired in a way sleep alone couldn’t fix.
I care about my well being and longevity, it’s one of the most important things to me.
I speak from experience when I say, sometimes, a face mask and guided meditation just don’t cut it.
Sometimes, we need mountains.

Whenever I could, I drove north.
I’d drive out of the city, watch the buildings fade into trees, and feel my jaw unclench somewhere around the state line. I didn’t need an itinerary. I needed trees, quiet roads, and refreshing mountain air.
Whatever the city took out of me, the mountains gave it back. A reset button if you will.
But I was always searching for a place to stay that wasn’t super outdated or a hotel pretending to be cozy. Something that actually felt like a soft landing.
I wanted a cabin getaway that was romantic, cozy and clean. Something near North Conway (the cutest mountain town of all time). Something that was close to downtown shops and restaurants but also had access to all the mountain adventures my heart desired. I wanted to lay in the river. Touch all the grass, hug all the trees, go for a hike and come home to a space that felt like a warm hug with a fire to cuddle up next to. A space that felt like a sanctuary away from all the distractions. Somewhere that felt like it was designed for people who live full lives and actually need to be cared for when they finally stop.
Nothing like that existed.
So I created it.
